About this program
The Stamp Duty Reimbursement Scheme, run by the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Government of Goa, supports startups, incubators, and accelerators operating within the state. Its objective is to reduce the financial load of property transactions that are essential for business operations.
Under the scheme, eligible entities pay no more than ₹100 in stamp duty for land area lease or sale transactions. Any amount paid above this limit to the relevant authorities is reimbursed to the applicant. This lowers the cost of acquiring or leasing infrastructure, encouraging business setup and growth.
The initiative forms part of the Goa Start-up Policy 2017, reinforcing the state's commitment to building a supportive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
