About this program

The Gujarat Textile Policy, introduced by the Industries and Mines Department, Gujarat, is an umbrella scheme designed to boost investment in the textile sector and reinforce the value chain across all sub-sectors. It places particular emphasis on garments, apparel, and technical textiles. The policy is effective from October 1st, 2024, to September 29th, 2029, and aims to lower the carbon footprint while promoting green growth, with the objective of enhancing global competitiveness and environmental sustainability.

Under this policy, the component "Assistance to SHG for Job Work" offers financial support to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) involved in job work. Eligible SHG members may receive payroll assistance and incentives, which are intended to improve their financial stability and encourage greater participation of women in industrial activities. The policy reflects the state's commitment to developing a resilient and sustainable textile industry while supporting women entrepreneurs at the grassroots level.
