Installation of Ropeway Infrastructure for Transport in Inaccessible Tourist Places or Forest Areas

The Department of Tourism, Government of Madhya Pradesh, launched the scheme "Installation of Ropeway Infrastructure for Transport in Inaccessible Tourist Places or Forest Areas." Implementation is handled by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board. The scheme seeks to increase tourism by attracting private investment in essential transport infrastructure.

It focuses on locations that are difficult to reach, such as remote tourist sites and dense forest regions where conventional transport is limited. The installation of modern ropeway systems is intended to improve visitor access, enrich the tourist experience, and create fresh avenues for economic growth through tourism. Private investors and entities interested in large-scale infrastructure projects that support the state's tourism policy and development objectives are the target audience.

1. Portal Registration: Go to the Madhya Pradesh Government's Invest Portal (https://sws.invest.mp.gov.in/) and register yourself as a "Vendor / Investor".
2. Provide Basic Details: Fill in the required information, choosing the correct "Type of Organisation" (such as Public Limited Company, Private Limited, LLP, Proprietorship Firm, Partnership Firm, Cooperative, Trust, FPO, or Individual). Enter the "Firm/Company Name" and "Authorized Person Name".
3. Share Contact Information: Furnish a working email address and mobile number. The application number, user ID, password, and all official correspondence will be sent to the email address you provide.
4. Finish Basic Registration: Submit the completed basic registration form. A user ID and password will be generated and delivered to your mobile number.
5. Complete Your Profile: Sign in to the portal with the credentials sent to you. Update your profile to finish the full registration process before you can apply for the scheme.
6. Execute the Project: Obtain all necessary approvals through the online single-window system within the prescribed timelines. Build the ropeway unit, ensuring the minimum capital expenditure of ₹1 crore is met, and start commercial operations while collecting all supporting evidence.
7. File the Subsidy Claim: Submit the capital subsidy application online within one year of the date operations begin. Attach all required documents, making sure they conform to the specified format guidelines.

The Tourism Department/Board reviews the submitted capital subsidy application along with all accompanying documents. This check confirms that the application meets every eligibility requirement and adheres to the scheme’s guidelines prior to the subsidy claim being cleared for payment.
