About this program
The Zayed Sustainability Prize is an international award established by the UAE leadership to honour organisations and secondary schools that deliver practical, inventive, and effective sustainability solutions across the globe. It draws on the legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s founding father, and supports both sustainable development and humanitarian efforts. The initiative seeks to speed up the adoption of sustainable practices by backing innovators and motivating younger generations to engage in building a more sustainable future.
The Prize operates across five categories—Health, Food, Energy, Water, and Climate Action—open to non-profit organisations and small-to-medium enterprises, alongside a dedicated Global High Schools category. Each category targets pressing global issues and rewards solutions that show a clear purpose, measurable outcomes, and a lasting commitment to sustainability. Beyond recognition, the Prize acts as a driver of progress, encouraging technological advances, nurturing creativity, and fostering partnerships that deliver enduring benefits to communities worldwide.
