About this program

UdyogTech Synapse 2026, an initiative of the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC) — the Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Delhi — is organised with support from partners such as Tech Mahindra, CMTI, and COLORJET. The programme is designed to support deep-tech development by connecting research activity with industrial application. It welcomes participation from academic researchers, R&D startups, established companies, and system integrators working on industrial robotics, collaborative robotics, and advanced manufacturing.

The initiative provides financial assistance of up to ₹2 Crore for individual projects and up to ₹5 Crore for consortiums. It supports technologies from proof-of-concept stage (TRL 4 and above) through refinement, field trials, pilot deployment, and commercial readiness. In addition to funding, participants receive technical mentoring, access to specialised testbeds, and links to an industry network for market entry and practical deployment. The programme seeks to convert promising research into scalable industrial technologies, contributing to India's advanced manufacturing goals and the broader deep-tech ecosystem.

How applications are assessed

Following the proposal submission deadline, applications are assessed in an initial review against criteria including innovation and originality, technical viability, anticipated impact and long-term sustainability, scalability, and team expertise. Projects that clear this stage are invited to present their prototypes to an expert panel during Technology Presentations in mid-September 2026.

Final selections are made after these presentations, and successful projects are announced. Onboarding for selected projects begins in October–November 2026.
