About this program

The "Subsidy on Stamp Duty and Registration Fee (SDRFS)" is a sub-scheme introduced on April 1, 2020, by the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles, Government of West Bengal. It will remain operational until March 31, 2025. The parent initiative, "Banglashree for MSME", seeks to promote balanced growth and a sustainable ecosystem within the state's MSME sector. Its objectives include optimising resource use, generating employment, and expanding operational reach, with the aim of establishing West Bengal as a national leader in this domain.

Under the SDRFS sub-scheme, entrepreneurs receive reimbursement for stamp duty and registration fees paid when registering documents within the state. This financial incentive is intended to lower the initial capital burden for new or expanding MSMEs in the manufacturing sector, thereby encouraging industrialisation and regional economic development.
