About this program
The "Subsidy for Energy Efficiency (EES)" operates as a sub-scheme within the "Banglashree for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises" programme, introduced by the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles, Government of West Bengal. It runs from April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2025, and seeks to promote balanced growth, efficient resource use, job creation, and the state's standing in the MSME sector.
Under this scheme, micro and small enterprises receive financial support through reimbursement of costs tied to energy efficiency measures. Covered expenses include a share of fees for energy audits carried out by certified agencies, as well as a percentage of outlays for installing recommended conservation equipment. The scheme applies to manufacturing units that begin commercial production within a set period, supporting sustainable operations and lower running costs.
