NGO Funds India

Tata Trusts

Indian foundation · Mumbai, Maharashtra

One of India's oldest philanthropic groups, funding NGO partners across healthcare, nutrition, education, WASH, livelihoods and social justice, with a preference for long-term partnerships rather than open application calls.

About Tata Trusts

Tata Trusts is a philanthropic group with over a century of social welfare work in India, funded from the personal wealth of the Tata family and administered from Bombay House in Mumbai. It works across a wide portfolio of themes — healthcare, nutrition, education, WASH, livelihoods, digital transformation, migration and urban habitat, social justice and inclusion, environment and energy, skill development, arts and culture, sports, disaster relief, and institution-building — and typically funds a small number of long-term NGO partners in each area rather than running an open annual call.

The Individual Grants Programme is a separate track for scholarships and personal-hardship support, distinct from the NGO grants pipeline.
