The RELX Environmental Challenge funds projects advancing sustainable access to safe water or sanitation, run by RELX, the analytics and decision-tools provider.
RELX, headquartered in the UK, supplies information-based analytics and decision tools to professional and business clients worldwide. It is the parent organisation of Elsevier, which publishes ScienceDirect, and of LexisNexis.
Through its Corporate Responsibility programme, RELX administers the annual RELX Environmental Challenge. Since 2011, the initiative has given cash prizes to innovative projects that further sustainable access to safe water and sanitation, with ocean health added to the scope from 2026.
