IKN Innovation Foundation, IMI Kolkata

IKN Innovation Foundation runs the NEEV Incubation Center at the International Management Institute (IMI) Kolkata. Founded in 2023, the incubator uses IMI Kolkata's academic strengths and the support of the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group to assist innovation-led startups. It primarily serves founders in eastern India, an area with fewer incubation facilities than hubs such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi.

As the incubation arm of IMI Kolkata, the foundation offers early-stage ventures co-working space, business mentorship, and access to faculty expertise in management, strategy, and operations. Its focus is on enterprises that combine innovation with social impact, sustainability, and rural development. The NEEV Incubation Center provides structured mentorship, prototyping and innovation labs, and connections to industry mentors and investors. Founders receive help with business model development, market validation, financial planning, and fundraising, drawing on IMI Kolkata's management education to help technical founders create commercially viable businesses.
