HCL Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of HCLTech, was set up in 2011 to foster equitable and sustainable progress across India. Based in Noida, the organisation conceives and executes initiatives spanning environmental conservation, healthcare, education, vocational training, and disaster relief, operating in both rural and urban settings.
The HCLTech Grant, introduced in 2015, serves as the foundation’s principal mechanism for supporting established non-profits working in rural regions. It views these organisations as pivotal agents of social transformation. The Grant provides multi-year financial support to groups with a demonstrated history of delivering results in water, biodiversity, health, and education. Each category winner is awarded ₹5 crore for a four-year project, while eight runners-up receive ₹50 lakh each for two-year projects, with selections made through a detailed multi-stage jury evaluation.
As of now, the HCLTech Grant has disbursed ₹203.50 crore in total commitments. This funding has touched 2.3 million individuals across 174 districts in 22 states and 3 union territories, extending to 61,171 villages.
